Trade facilitation in South Asia meet on Friday


The SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SAARC CCI) in collaboration with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka and in partnership with Friedrich Naumann Stiftung New Delhi will organise a seminar on 'Trade Facilitation in South Asia: Addressing barriers to foster Trade Chain' on Friday in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Minister for external affairs of Sri Lanka Prof GL Peiris will inaugurate the seminar along with former finance minister of Nepal Prof Madhukar SJB Rana.
President of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vikramjit Singh Sahney will deliver the keynote speech while immediate past president Annisul Huq, and founder member and former president of SAARC CCI Tariq Sayeed will chair technical sessions.
In addition to renowned speakers, professionals, practitioners and government officials, senior vice presidents of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahmed Mujuthaba from Maldives, Mahendra Parmar from India, Iftikhar Ali Malik from Pakistan and Kosala Wickramanayake from Sri Lanka will share their views at the business sessions.
The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka will also host the 56th executive committee meeting of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the sidelines.
