Online job hunting sites gain popularity

Growth Sellers launched an online job search engine, www.growthjobsonline.com, here today.
"The new site will help bridge the gap between job seekers and employers," said chairman of Growth Sellers Mohan Ojha.
Growth Sellers, which has been able to establish itself in the field of human resource development, has been working on developing the human resource of the country for the last five years, he said.
Currently, there are many job hunting sites — for job seekers in the country — where they can post their resume and get selected by the employers, said Ojha, adding that the use of technology will benefit both the employees and employers.
Human resource is a catalyst for success, said chief executive of Mega Bank Anil Shah, on the occasion. "Investment on people is the secret of success for any institution," he said, adding that Nepali human resources have been working in the Gulf and Malaysia and helping those countries develop. "They could also take help of the site and work for the country," he added.
Similarly, chairman of Insurance Board (IB) Dr Fatta Bahadur KC said that human resource is a strategic resource.
Growth Sellers has been organising the HR Meet since 2008 and also honouring the best HR managers every year since the last three years for the development of human resources in the country.
